Who Needs Site Safety Training?

As a requirement of Local Law 196 of 2017, workers at job sites requiring a Construction Superintendent, Site Safety Coordinator or Site Safety Manager must have a total of 30 hours of safety training by December 1, 2019 and a total of 40 hours by September 2020. Supervisors must have 62 hours of training by December 1, 2019.

Where are the classes held?

We have one classroom at our office located on West 35th Street, between 7th and 8th, and we are always happy to organize group classes at a location of your choosing.

What is an SST Card?

An SST Card is a card meant to provide information regarding a workers training background in order to comply with New York City's Local Law 196.

Does my SST Card Expire?

SST cards are valid for Five Years. Refresher courses are expected to be taken every 5 years to ensure compliance.
